  Met Derek Gilroy as arete was referred to us. My mother needs work done on her condo. Derek offered to come by even though we have not signed on yet to work with them. He explained everything that he would do, shared what we be difficult and what he wouldn’t even waste money on. Now all my mom has done since he left is ask when we can hire arete and “make sure Derek is there”! Thanks again. It was unnecessary the time he took but was greatly appreciated.

  We hired Arete to do a full rehab of 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom condo. The issues we were concerned about were cost, timing and quality. Also, we wanted a contractor experienced in working with condos. Arete met all those requirements. The team set up a project plan and our project was finished pretty much when they said would it be. They set a budget at the beginning of the project. We went over the budget a bit, but that was because of requirements from our building which no one was aware of before the project started. We are very happy with the quality of the work, our condo is just beautiful. The other area Arete excels at is communication. You hear horror stories of contractors disappearing and not communicating. Not Arete. They utilize CoConstruct to help foster expedient and efficient communication. CoConstruct provides updates, photos and makes communication with the team incredibly easy. Our design team, Ivana, Vasilka and Igor, were just great. They really listened to what we wanted. They excelled with the kitchen redesign. It is functional and has all the storage we requested. Damian and Ivan did a great job running the project and were always available to meet to go over questions we had. Rehabs are stressful. But Arete takes most of the stress out of the experience. We highly recommend Arete Renovators.
